Disney Springs Food Tour

The past few years on the drive to Fort Myers Beach, we’ll stop in Orlando overnight and spend time in Disney Springs to break up the drive. My dad and sister started this before I could come back on the trips, but now we look forward to this almost as much as the actual beach trip.

We’ve started doing food and drink tours instead of shopping here really, and it has been so much fun. Here are some places we’ve eaten at during our trips:

The Polite Pig

  • bbq meatballs on cheddar grits and fried onions - sweet sauce!, tender meatballs, great with crunch of onions and softness of grits. Favorite of the day.

  • slider trio - fried chicken (good piece of chicken, but not a ton of flavor), pulled pork (nice slaw for a Memphis touch. Not a ton of flavor - good smoke), brisket (little spicy, wasn’t a fan favorite)

YeSake Kiosk bao buns

This kiosk offered quick bite options of Japanese food, mostly including bao buns. We got the chicken teriyaki and the sausage pizza bao buns.

  • chicken teriyaki - cam loved it. She said it was savory and sweet at the same time. Dad said it tasted like mush. I enjoyed it!

  • sausage pizza - none of us were a fan of this one.

Gideons Bakehouse

  • so good. worth the hype, but maybe not worth the wait. I waited in line for about 30-45 minutes in the summer heat… While the cookies were great (we prefered the cookies n cream one), waiting that long was a lot to endure.

Everglazed

  • We got the fruity pebbles donut, 2 glazed donuts, coffee, and their cereal milk. It was SO expensive… $45 for all of that expensive. It was enjoyable, but it didn’t taste fresh. My favorite thing was the fruity pebbles cereal milk. However, I’m lactose-intolerant so it hurt after about 5 minutes lol.

wine bar george

  • This was my favorite stop at Disney Springs. I got a 2019 Vouvray and my sister, dad, and I split the mac & cheese bites. They were so good, and were sitting in a spicy tomato sauce. The bites were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

I had the most fun at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. If you enjoyed Indiana Jones, then you’ll love this bar. We got two things here:

  • a pretzel board that included 3 types of cheeses, 3 meats, pickles, accoutrements, and a giant bavarian pretzel. It was so good and easy to share!

  • mini meatballs on top of ricotta and some scorched bread. These were my favorite. The meatballs were so tender and so delicious. Paired with the whipped ricotta… chefs kiss

Which one are you going to hit up next time you’re at Disney World?
