Quick Guide to Las Catalinas

Neal rented a motorcycle in Playa Flamingo and went exploring one morning with a buddy of his. He FaceTimed me and said, “get the group, we’re going to Las Catalinas.” We drove about 20 minutes to visit and wow. This town is gorgeous. You feel like you’re in Europe with the cobblestone streets, the homes, and the restaurants. We all loved it.

Here are some highlights:

Sentido Norte

We ate dinner here our first full night and it was stunning. I wish we had been able to see the sunset, but I booked the reservation for too late in the evening unknowingly :(

Sentido Norte is part of the Casa Chameleon hotel. It is on a cliff overlooking the ocean and it is unreal.

Pots and Bowls

We ate lunch here and Neal and I shared the burger. It was delicious! We were starving and sweating profusely, so we did not get a picture of the burger lol. This restaurant is located in the town center, so it is tough to miss!

Shops

I immediately visited Las Catalinas Collection and bought some sunglasses. I wore those dang sunglasses every day for the rest of the trip - I am obsessed with them! They also have clothing (for men, women, and children) and accessories. I loved everything in here.

Las Catalinas offers a beach club, multiple hotels and vacation rentals, a grocery store, multiple restaurants, a gym, and shops. I definitely recommend visiting or spending a day or 2 here when visiting the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica.
