Best gifts for travelers 2020

Do you have a friend or family member who loves to travel and don’t know what to get them? Here is my list of gifts I recommend:

Travel Accessories

  • silk mask - Great for sleeping on planes! Silk helps keep you hair from frizzing and prevents fine lines and wrinkles.

  • travel pillow - travelers have raved over the trtl travel pillow. I haven’t tried it as I have a cheap memory foam and cooling one from Walmart I buy, but this is a higher-end travel pillow that is a great gift for any traveler.

  • ostrich mini travel pillow - this would be the ideal pillow for me as it has many ways to manipulate it. Again, I haven’t tried this pillow, but I may end up getting this for myself.

  • skin hydrating products - I use Zo and Elta MD products and LOVE them. However, it really doesn’t matter what brand as long as it is hydrating. Planes are super drying, so making sure you’re hydrated (both by drinking lots of water and helping your skin out) is so important.

  • passport covers - I LOVE these passport covers from Anthropologie. What a cute way to keep your passport safe during your travels!

  • luggage tags - again, Anthropologie has some great luggage tags. Make your bag stand out with a statement luggage tag.

  • packing cubes - doesn’t matter what brand you get, but packing cubes change the game! It is so easy to organize your suitcase now. You can organize based on outfits, similar clothing items, and then use them to separate clean and dirty clothes.

  • toiletry case - this is the toiletry case I own and I LOVE it. I gift it to my friends and family before they go on a big trip and it is such a lifesaver. It has depth to it that a plastic bag would not have so you can fit so much more into it!

  • weekender - I have this Catalina Deluxe weekender from Lo & Sons and love it. It has a separate compartment on the bottom to store your shoes so they don’t touch your clothing and it is machine washable! It is worth the price.

  • portable chargers - good for everyday life but especially on trips.

Misc Items

  • water bottle with built-in filter - I’ve linked the LifeStraw water bottle as I think this is the best on the market. Great for trips when the water isn’t very safe or for your water-bougie friend (me).

  • door stop for safety - great for your solo or female traveling friend! This door stop is put on the inside of the door so if it opens, it sounds a LOUD alarm.

  • jewelry organizer - there are a ton of options for these, but one that is as flat as possible is the best option to save on space!

  • kindle - I love my Kindle Fire for travel so I can read or watch tv shows or movies on the go.

Travel-themed

  • scratch off map - this is a more elevated version of a scratch off travel map. I asked for this for Christmas myself this year.

  • framed map - I bought a Krakow, Tallinn, and Helsinki one for my boyfriend after our trip and he loved it. Great for a friend or family member you’ve traveled with.

  • scott’s cheap flight membership - only $49 a year and it is unbeatable. I’ve flown to Berlin for $371, my friend flew to Rome for $410, I’ve seen $500 to Tahiti. It is a great service and will save you tons of money on flights.

  • artifact uprising travel book - what better way to remember a trip than to create a nice photo book? I know I take TONS of photos on trips and this is going to be my next gift to myself.
