The Reach Resort Key West Review
I visited Key West the day after Thanksgiving 2023 and it was perfect! My only complaint is that apparently thousands of other people had that same plan, so hotels were super expensive.
As most of you know, I’m a Hilton Honors member and try to stay at Hiltons when I can! The Reach was super expensive the Friday and Saturday night I’d be in town, so ended up booking another hotel for those nights and staying at The Reach Sunday-Tuesday.
Price
It’s a Curio collection hotel, which are usually very nice! I paid ahead with my Hilton Honors advance purchase discount and altogether it was $831.84.
The room was $631 for the two nights, taxes were $92, and the kicker was a resort charge of $108! Almost every hotel has the resort charge of around $50/night added on to your room, so keep an eye on that.
Location
The hotel is in an ideal spot! Right at the beginning of Duval Street and a 2 minute walk from The Southernmost Point, the hotel is a hotspot for restaurants, shops, bars, etc.
It also has a private beach which is super nice! Beaches are surprisingly difficult to come by in Key West, especially nice ones! I loved this beach with its own private pier.
I rented a golf cart through my other hotel and wished I had kept it through this hotel reservation. The Reach offers free golf cart valet, which is a great offer!
Room
The room is your typical hotel room - nothing to write home about. You do get a balcony, which is very nice! But overall, it’s just an average hotel room.
However, the restaurant and cafe are great! The cafe carried La Colombe coffee (both brewed and canned) which is my favorite coffee brand! The restaurant offered a variety of food and great cocktails right on the beach. They also had my favorite key lime pie :)
Amenities
The Reach offers a fitness center, business center, pool (with option to book a cabana), and free beach chairs + towels.
Thankfully, The Reach is right next door to the very newly renovated Casa Marina, another Hilton hotel property, which has a spa.
Final Thoughts
Great hotel! Nothing extremely special about the rooms, but the location is great and the restaurant is awesome. I loved sitting on the beach or at the restaurant while reading. The staff were very friendly and nice, and overall I had a great stay here :)
