Vintage Designer Shops in London

Prior to my trip, I did MAJOR research on vintage designer shops in Paris and London. I came to the realization that London has much better vintage designer shops… The problem though is that you don’t get the VAT Refund (as of November 2022) in the UK and the Pound is much stronger than the Dollar… Compared to the VAT Refund accessibility in Paris and the Euro vs Dollar being comparable, it made this difficult!

However, there are still some amazing vintage shops in London that you should check out if you are interested in buying designer second hand. Buying designer second hand is not only better for the environment, it’s also better for your wallet :)

Sellier Knightsbridge

Sellier Knightsbridge is my favorite online shop. They have great, unique, and staple pieces. I love perusing their Hermes and Chanel bags since they have some GREAT finds at the best prices I’ve found in London.

They also have a great selection of shoes and clothing. Their instagram is amazing at updating every new piece they receive and what you’d pay retail vs second hand. Also if the item is a collector’s item, rare, or store fresh.

Bagista

Bagista seems to have the nicest storefront, and thus is more expensive than other second hand shops. They have more variety in terms of types of bags, and their bags may be in a bit better shape, but again, you’ll pay extra for that.

They also have a great blog with tips on trending bags, best investment pieces, etc.

Sign of the Times

I visited Sign of the Times store in-person because they had a Chanel bag I was eyeing - however, they weren’t sure where it was! I love their website, and they do have great items - maybe a bit trendier rather than investment pieces. The prices are great, and they also have a ton of clothing items as well.

They have quite a few Chanel, Bottega, and Prada pieces.

Rewind Vintage Affairs

Rewind has some unique and one-of-a-kind vintage designer pieces. If you want a twist on a classic staple or maybe a piece from a not-as-well-known designer that is still equally unique, this is your spot.

They have a gorgeous Olympia Le Tan clutch I was eyeing at nearly half the retail price. They do have some classic pieces, but their niche is more eclectic.

In terms of prices, Sign of the Times is your best bet.

In terms of shopping experience, Bagista is your best bet.

In terms of best pieces, Sellier Knightsbridge is your best bet.

In terms of off-the-beaten-path pieces, Rewind is your best bet.
