Travel Goals for my 30s

As I’ve closed out my 20s and have bravely entered my 30s, I’ve looked back on the incredible things I’ve been able to do!

My first trip in my 20s to Greece. We left one day after I turned 20.

I’ve visited:

  • Athens, Mykonos, Argostoli, and Corfu (Greece)

  • Venice (Italy)

  • Berlin, Cologne (Germany)

  • Tallinn twice (Estonia)

  • Kotor (Montenegro)

  • Sint Maarten (DVI)

  • St. Thomas (USVI)

  • Krakow (Poland)

  • Helsinki (Finland)

  • Merida, Tulum, Isla Holbox (Mexico)

  • Playa Flamingo, Las Catalinas, Tamarindo (Costa Rica)

  • Amsterdam, The Hague (Netherlands)

  • London (UK)

  • Lisbon (Portugal)

  • Paris, Nice, Eze (France)

  • Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala City (Guatemala)

  • Monaco

  • Bohemia (Czech Republic)

  • Dublin (Ireland)

Some experiences:

  • I’ve donated bone marrow

  • Got a private boat ride in Paris for my sister and best friend

  • Hiked in Czech Republic

  • Visited Auschwitz

  • Kayaked in the Gulf of Mexico in the middle of the night to see bioluminescence

  • Visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour outside of London

  • Got lost in Europe on the trains

  • Paraglided and cliff dived in Guatemala

  • Took solo trips to Key West, New Orleans, and Dublin

  • Developed a go-to routine in New Orleans

  • Started a great purse and fragrance collection

  • Met my long-term boyfriend and have traveled with him

  • Started Pilates consistently and started teaching Pilates

  • I’ve also started this wonderful little community at Blonde Voyage 901

To turn 30 is such a gift and such a milestone. I’ve accomplished and experienced so many things already in my short journey through adulthood that many others dream of doing, and I am well aware of how lucky I am to have been able to do so. I have so loved sharing my journeys and experiences with you all who follow along :)

As we venture into this next decade together, I wanted to share some goals and aspirations I have for myself, and will be so excited to mark off some of these things together!

Locations I’d like to visit this next decade:

  • Antarctica - my goal for my 20s was to go when I turned 30. However, it financially didn’t make sense quite yet. I wanted to get my finances right before I invest in such a huge trip. But I am really hoping to go sometime this next decade.

  • Japan - Neal has always dreamed of going to Japan, and I initially didn’t feel called to visiting. However, after helping him research some, I cannot wait to experience such a rich culture!

  • Take sisters to Paris - my youngest sister has dreamed of visiting Paris. I was able to take her and my mother to Guatemala a few weeks after our grandmother passed in 2022, but I’d LOVE to be able to take her to Paris and see the beauty and excitement on her face :)

  • Take mom to Merida - Merida, Mexico is a STUNNING, safe, and a culturally-rich city. My mom has no interest in going to Europe, so I’d love to take her somewhere warm and exciting.

  • Take dad to Tallinn - Tallinn, Estonia is my favorite place I’ve ever visited. My dad took me to Europe for the first time in 2007 to his favorite place, Berlin, and I would love to repay that by taking him to my favorite place.

  • Egypt - A few girlfriends and I had planned the perfect trip to Egypt in 2021; however, it fell through due to COVID. I still have all of the contacts, hotels, excursions and would love to put it all to good use and finally see the Great Pyramids and the amazing artefacts in Egypt!!

Experiences:

  • Boat in Paris with sisters - as I said above, I’d love to have a sister trip to Paris and take my sisters on the private boat with Boat in Paris. What a dream!

  • Japan with Neal - being able to travel well with your significant other is such a treat! I cannot wait to experience Japan with Neal and mark off another continent together :)

  • Get offered an Hermes bag in Paris - my dream purse in an Hermes Kelly. I’m fully aware of how neurotic the process is to get a bag, but the dream is to be offered one in store one day :)

  • See The Kiss in Vienna - I think I will cry when I see The Kiss by Gustav Klimt in real life.

Thank you all so much for following along. Please share your favorite travel memories below! I’d love some inspiration :)
