The Perry Hotel Key West Review
One thing about Key West is that they have a TON of hotels… I was completely overwhelmed by the options, I wasn’t blown away by any, and the prices were insane (especially the weekend of Thanksgiving). However, I found The Perry, thanks to Conde Nast Traveler.
I stayed here Friday - Sunday of my trip, and honestly wish I had stayed here longer. Truly the only downfall is the lack of a beachfront, but that is me being picky! Everything else was close to amazing.
Price
For 2 nights, the total was $761.80. Like The Reach and all hotels in Key West, a resort charge of $50/night is added on.
Location
Technically located on Stock Island, it took me about 10-15 minutes by golf cart to reach downtown Key West. The drive is gorgeous though, and who doesn’t love a golf cart? I had so much fun driving the cart into Key West.
The hotel is also on Perry Marina, so you are right near the water, which was great!
Another plus - it is less than 10 minutes from the airport :)
Room
I booked a room with a king bed and the room was massive. I had a closet, coffee nook, balcony facing the marina, and a big bathroom with great lightning.
My only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin and I could hear my neighbors partying, getting sick, and partying again throughout the night. However, I did NOT hear the roosters like some of my neighbors could :)
My only complaint about the room is the random lack of water pressure in the shower. After a few moments, the water isn’t hot and the pressure completely stops so you’re standing in the shower shivering waiting for the water to come back. I did see some reviews about this from previous stays, but was hoping they’d have this figured out.
Amenities
A few amenities I feel compelled to call out:
The Bar - amazing amazing drinks and snacks. I had possibly the best margarita of my life here, along with some crab and corn fritters. I definitely recommend checking out the outdoor bar. They do also have a restaurant and coffee shop, though I didn’t visit those.
The Concierge, Johnny - he was so helpful and kind! I booked a golf cart rental and the dolphin snorkel excursion through him. I emailed him at least a dozen times asking for recommendations and discussing different options, and he was very patient and kind with me!
Final Thoughts
Besides the lack of beach and the random water pressure issue, this hotel was amazing. I loved every person I spoke with, had a great time on the golf cart and snorkel trip, and thoroughly enjoyed every margarita I had :)
