Best Travel Gifts 2021

I won’t ever push products on you that I personally don’t love and use. Here are my favorite travel items from 2020 and 2021 that I believe would make great travel-themed gifts! All linked on my Like to Know.it

Travel Bags:

  • Beis weekender - I have the Lo & Sons weekender bag and the one by Beis has made it even better… The metal surrounding the zipper top opening is such an incredible design feature that I LOVE. The material is great, and the bottom compartment for your shoes, dirty/wet clothes, etc. is also one of my favorite features of these weekender bags. They come in black and beige and are $98.

  • Beis backpack - I have been using my Nike backpack I got when I cheered at the University of Memphis as my travel backpack since 2012… I finally upgraded to the Beis backpack and wow. It is SO ROOMY. You could easily pack a 4-day trip just in the backpack if you have packing cubes. Also comes in black and beige and is $78.

  • Personalized Leather Duffel - I got this for Neal since he didn’t have a nice-looking duffel or weekend bag for trips (He brought a trash bag filled with clothes on a trip once LOL). He loves it and uses it on his trips he doesn’t use a suitcase for!

Travel Accessories:

  • Beis packing cubes - Are you sensing a theme? These packing cubes come with 2 shoe bags which is AMAZING. Just like with everything else on their website, it’s incredible quality, great price for the item and quality, and stylish, too.

  • Shoe Packing Cubes - Just put everything in packing cubes :) Seriously though, these cubes fit 3 pairs of shoes in them and they’re great for keeping them all together and neat.

  • TSA-approved Liquids Container - I know I am always harping on how incredible this thing is, but it truly is! I pulled it up on my Amazon account to grab the link and it says I’ve purchased it 6 times… I gift this out like no other! A great gift idea is to pack this with travel-size beauty products for your beauty-loving travel friend :)

  • St. Christopher Necklace - While I’m not that religious, I love the idea of saints. St. Christopher is the patron saint of travelers, so this is my go-to necklace now.

For the Home:

  • Wooden Map - I got this for Christmas last year and LOVE it. It is so beautiful and so well-made. It is also a great conversation starter!

  • Traveler or Travel + Leisure subscription - I have both and love them. The trips they share are ridiculously expensive, but it’s nice to dream, right?

  • Photo Book - I made one for every trip last year when I found this website, and even made copies for friends and Neal for our trips together! Such a beautiful way to update the classic travel photo album. Love that you can personalize it with the size of the book, the color of the fabric, and the photo on the sleeve. I also love that you can write memories and stories inside of the book instead of having just photos. It’s such a great way to remember stories from your trips.

COVID-19 Precautions

  • At-home rapid tests - Unfortunately part of this new world we are living in post-(really during) COVID.

  • Laminate holders for vax cards - a 5-pack is $6.99 and it fits your vax card perfectly! It also zips shut so it truly protects your card.

  • Lysol wipes - Get them. Use them. Love them.

Things I’m asking for

I’ve linked my entire Pinterest board of things I want, but the travel-themed gifts I’m asking for are:

  • Weighted eye mask - Like a weighted blanket for your eyes! I get sinus migraines out of the blue and the pressure/weight of an eye mask would help so much! There are a few, but the one linked and this one by Kitsch look nice. The lavender is a nice touch, though I’m not sure how the satin would stay on my face.

  • Tech organizer - With how organized I am, my cords are all over the place. So I’m asking for a tech organizer for my travels.

  • Aspinal wallet - This one is a splurge for sure, but I love how organized it is and the classic look. I can see passing this down.
