4 Days in Paris

My best friend, Ro, my sister, and I visited Paris in September 2023 and we had the best time! This was mine and Ro’s second time visiting Paris, so we took Keighlin to our favorite spots, while still exploring some more. There is never a shortage of things to see in Paris.

We spent a day in New York before flying to Paris on La Compagnie (I have my review for La Compagnie here), and then took the train to Nice to spend a few days in the South of France.

Where We Stayed

We stayed in Montmartre at B Montmartre Hotel and only have amazing things to say about it. It was in a great location on a side street off Boulevard des Batignolles and Avenue de Clichy in Montmartre, also near the Place de Clichy metro station. Only 3 kilometers (10-15 minutes) from Arc de Triomphe, 5 kilometers (15-20 minutes) from the Eiffel Tower, and 4.5 kilometers from the Louvre.

We got a room with 3 beds and it was tight, but amazing we found a hotel to fit 3 people in Europe… The bathroom also had a bathtub, which made my trip so much better.

They have a bar, restaurant, and beautiful courtyard onsite, but we didn’t take advantage of any of these amenities. There was a great brasserie, Le Petit Poucet, right around the corner from us so we would go there for late night cocktails and snacks.

For 4 nights and 3 people, it was $1900.

What We Did

Crazy Horse

Probably tied for our favorite thing this trip was the show at Crazy Horse. We went twice… It’s 90 minutes long and I wish it were 5 hours. It is definitely an 18+ show so do not bring any children to this show, but if you are an adult, you must go here instead of Moulin Rouge.

We got the “Crazy Champagne” ticket the first time when only Ro and I went for $90 each. When we went the second time, it was very spontaneous. We had a few bottles of wine on the boat and decided last minute to see if they had any tickets left… They had 3 tickets left at the VIP + Champagne / Macarons level. Ro put her card down like a boss and we went the second time :)

Private Boat Ride on the Seine

This was an incredible experience. I spent hours researching private boat rides in Paris to see if I could find any that wouldn’t cost $1000+ and was safe. Enter: Boat in Paris. We booked our boat for $500 and it was AMAZING.

Included in our ticket was 2 and a half hours on the Seine with a wonderful captain, 2 bottles of wine, and macarons. We stopped by Le Grand Epicerie and bought:

  • caviar

  • truffle chips

  • creme fraiche

  • strawberries

  • lots of cheese

  • lots of meats

  • bread

  • french butter

  • wine

  • water

Not only did we get to see the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, and other iconic sights, but we also got a history lesson from Louise, our captain! At the end of our boat ride, Louise let Ro drive the boat :)

La Galerie Dior

If you love fashion or history, La Galerie Dior is a must visit. Connected to the flagship store on 30 Montaigne, start at the cafe inside their store, then visit the museum. Be sure to buy your ticket ahead of time because the line gets very long!

After we visited the museum, we went back to the Dior store next door where I bought a wallet and Ro bought some charms for her Lady Dior.

Disneyland Paris

We took a few hours early one day and visited Disneyland Paris, and we loved it. We got premier access so we were able to skip the lines of every ride one time, which saved us a lot of time. The lines are not long at all though if you choose to not book the premier access ticket (the longest being 60 minutes at Crush’s Coaster).

You can take the metro to Disneyland Paris in about an hour for about $10. We left around 9am and were back around 4pm.

Where We Ate

I have an entire post on everywhere we ate in Paris here so I won’t rehash the entire thing, but I’ll share best and worst meal.

Best Meal

Higher End: Siena. I got the truffle ravioli and a pornstar martini and both were very high quality. The interior is gorgeous, and the restaurant is tucked away near a bunch of restaurants with patios and al fresco dining - perfectly Parisian.

Budget: Le Baguette du Relais. $14 for a steak sandwich that will keep you full for hours. There’s limited seating there, so I recommend getting it to go and walking a few blocks to the Seine.

Worst Meal

La Suite Girafe. Only go here for a cocktail. The food was awful and the service was okay at best. The view is incredible and unbeatable… The price point was decent for the view, but I wouldn’t eat here again.

Shopping

Galeries Lafayette - I love to get perfume at Galeries Lafayette. Both times I’ve visited, I got Jo Malone engraved as gifts.

Polene Paris - I bought the Numero Sept when I visited Paris the first time and love it! I bought the Numero Dix this visit and am slightly disappointed by it. My review is here

Dior - I bought a gorgeous red leather card holder from Dior. It’s so beautiful

Arket - I bought some new New Balances from Arket and I love them!! The USA doesn’t have Arket yet, but it was a great store with some beautiful basics.

Kith - a beautiful concept store for cool street style and trendy pieces.
